JSW Motors appoints Amit Jain as Chief Commercial Officer

In his new role, Jain will be responsible for driving JSW Motors’ commercial strategy, leveraging his extensive background across sales, after-sales, marketing, and product functions. Over the course of his career, he has led multi-brand automotive businesses and implemented customer- and market-focused commercial initiatives.

JSW Motors Limited has announced the appointment of Amit Jain as its Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), strengthening the company’s leadership team as it builds its automotive business.

Jain brings over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, with a proven track record across sales, after-sales, marketing, and product functions. His career has been marked by leadership roles across multiple automotive organisations, where he has successfully driven customer-centric commercial strategies and strengthened multi-brand operations.

Prior to joining JSW Motors, Jain served as Group CEO and Whole-Time Director at Jubilant Motorworks, where he led initiatives focused on business expansion, profitability improvement, brand integration, digital transformation, and organisational capability building to support long-term growth.

Earlier, Jain was Group CEO at AMP Motors, overseeing Jaguar Land Rover and Ducati operations. He also served as CEO and Board Member at Shaman Mercedes, where he delivered growth through network expansion, enhanced customer engagement, and operational excellence. His professional journey additionally includes entrepreneurial ventures through Torque Lifestyle LLP and leadership roles at Ford India, Hero Honda, and Daimler Chrysler.

Academically, Jain holds a Gold Medal in Mechanical Engineering from North Gujarat University and a Master’s degree in Management Studies (Marketing) from K.J. Somaiya College. He has also represented the Baroda Cricket Team at the Under-16 level, reflecting his early engagement in competitive sports.

With this appointment, JSW Motors aims to strengthen its commercial capabilities and accelerate its growth strategy in the Indian automotive market.
