Before joining VinFast, Saxena spent nearly 23 years with Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI), where he held several leadership positions across sales, strategy, and business development.

Most recently, he served as Operating Officer from April 2024 to February 2026, overseeing core business functions including business development, product strategy, marketing, electrification initiatives, network expansion, and sales digitisation for the company’s two-wheeler portfolio.

In this role, Saxena led more than 135 teams across six divisions and played a key role in shaping the company’s medium-term strategy. He also contributed to advancing HMSI’s electrification roadmap, including the launch of the company’s first EV concept store in Bengaluru in June 2025 and the development of a scalable EV network strategy.

During this period, the region recorded around 30 per cent volume growth, while market share improved from 21 per cent to 28 per cent.

Prior to that, Saxena served as Regional Business Head (Deputy General Manager) for the Central region between 2016 and 2021, overseeing operations across Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, where he led dealer network expansion and drove market share growth.
