Routematic, India’s leading AI-driven corporate commute automation and fleet management platform serving more than 300 enterprises, has announced a significant sustainability achievement on National Pollution Control Day: a cumulative reduction of 8,348 tonnes of CO₂ emissions in 2025 across key corporate mobility corridors in India.
This milestone highlights the powerful impact of AI-based route optimisation, shared mobility models, and increased electric vehicle adoption in reducing urban pollution while supporting strong corporate ESG outcomes.
Major contributions came from India’s biggest technology and commercial hubs, including Delhi-NCR (2174.9 tonnes), Hyderabad (2007 tonnes), Pune (1914.5 tonnes), Bengaluru (1650.8 tonnes), Chennai (494.2 tonnes), and Mumbai (107.2 tonnes).
Collectively, these reductions are equivalent to planting more than 375,000 trees annually or removing over 1,800 cars from the road per year—a compelling demonstration of how sustainable commute solutions can accelerate India’s emissions reduction goals.
Routematic currently facilitates over 3.5 lakh daily employee rides across leading IT/ITeS, GCC, BFSI and new age enterprises, making it one of India’s largest and most impactful employee transport networks. The company’s latest sustainability milestone comes at a particularly important time, as major Indian cities continue to grapple with severe and persistent air-pollution levels. Transportation remains one of the country’s biggest pollution contributors, accounting for nearly 14% of India’s CO₂ emissions, with road transport alone responsible for almost 90% of this share.
Given that employee commute forms a substantial portion of daily vehicular movement in large metros and as India moves towards its 2070 net-zero goals, enterprises are increasingly embracing technology-enabled employee transport solutions that lower carbon footprints without compromising employee safety, wellbeing and productivity.

This year’s sustainability milestone builds on Routematic’s accelerated expansion following its USD 40 million Series C funding in May 2025, led by global climate-focused investors Fullerton Carbon Action Fund and Shift4Good. The investment is enabling the company to scale its electric vehicle fleet, enhance AI capabilities, and expand its network of 24*7 Operations Command Centres to support an increasing number of clients across India. The company is also strengthening its driver ecosystem with a strong focus on employing women drivers across India.
