JSW MG Motor India recorded a 66% YoY growth in EV sales during FY26, selling 62,591 units. The MG Windsor remained India’s top-selling passenger EV while the company prepares to launch its first PHEV.

JSW MG Motor India reported strong growth in its electric vehicle portfolio for FY26, registering a 66% year-on-year increase compared to FY25. The automaker sold 62,591 electric vehicles in FY26, up from 37,730 units in the previous financial year, reflecting growing consumer adoption of electric mobility in India.

In March 2026, the company recorded EV sales of 6,528 units, marking a 19% year-on-year growth and indicating sustained demand across its electric lineup.

Driving this momentum was the MG Windsor, which continued to maintain its position as India’s No. 1 selling passenger EV. The model registered 4,530 units in March 2026, posting a 20% year-on-year growth. The Windsor’s popularity extended beyond metropolitan areas, with nearly 70% of total sales coming from non-metro cities. This trend highlights the growing acceptance of electric vehicles in smaller cities and signals a shift in traditional car-buying patterns toward electrification.

Looking ahead, JSW MG Motor India plans to further expand its New Energy Vehicle (NEV) portfolio with the introduction of its first Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) in the coming months, reinforcing the company’s commitment to accelerating sustainable mobility in India.
