Kia sets new global sales record in 2025 with 3.13 million vehicles sold

Kia Corporation has reported its highest-ever global sales performance in 2025, delivering 3.13 million vehicles worldwide. Growth was supported by strong demand for SUVs such as the Sportage, Seltos, and Sorento, alongside new launches including the EV3 and the K4 sedan.

Kia Corporation has reported global vehicle sales of 3,135,803 units in 2025, marking the highest annual sales performance in the company’s history. The result represents a year-on-year growth of 2 percent compared to 2024.

Excluding special purpose vehicles, Kia recorded sales of 2,584,238 units in overseas markets, reflecting a 2 percent increase over the previous year. Domestic sales in Korea reached 545,776 units, up 1 percent year-on-year.

By model, the Sportage SUV emerged as Kia’s best-selling vehicle globally in 2025 with sales of 569,688 units. It was followed by the Seltos SUV at 299,766 units and the Sorento SUV at 264,673 units.

Kia attributed its record-breaking performance to the successful rollout of competitive new models, including the Kia EV3, the newly introduced K4 sedan, and the hybrid Carnival MPV. Improved industrial stability and agile business operations also supported higher production levels and improved vehicle supply throughout the year.

In 2026, Kia is targeting global sales of 3,350,000 units. The brand expects to sell 2,775,000 vehicles outside of Korea and 565,000 units in Korea. Kia also expects to sell 10,000 special purpose vehicles worldwide.

Kia successfully maintained global growth momentum last year through market-specific sales strategies, overcoming an uncertain industry environment, including tariff impacts. The company focused on hybrid expansion in the U.S. and strengthened its market position in Europe through volume EV growth.

This year, Kia plans to sustain sales momentum and enhance its global market presence by expanding its hybrid lineup for key SUV models, including the new Telluride SUV and Seltos SUV models, while increasing production and reinforcing global supply chain sustainability.
