BYD India, the Indian arm of global new energy vehicle leader BYD, has announced the launch of the SEALION 7 First Anniversary Edition, celebrating a key milestone for its flagship electric performance SUV in the country.
Bookings for the special edition are now open, with customers able to reserve the vehicle by paying a booking amount of ₹70,000 at dealerships across the country.

As part of the First Anniversary offer, the first 1,100 customers will receive a range of exclusive benefits. These include a complimentary 11 kW home charger with installation, along with two years of free service and maintenance.
Customers will also benefit from an upgraded Low Voltage Battery (LVB) based on Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) technology, offering enhanced durability and safety. This battery is backed by an extended warranty of 8 years or 150,000 km, compared to the standard 6-year coverage. Meanwhile, the High Voltage Battery continues to be covered under an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty.
The limited-period offers will be applicable only to the first 1,100 customers and for bookings made until April 30, 2026, reinforcing BYD India’s focus on delivering long-term value, reliability, and ownership benefits to its customers.
The First Anniversary Edition also introduces a distinctive Tahiti Blue interior colour theme, enhancing the premium and futuristic cabin experience of the SEALION 7 while retaining the vehicle’s signature ocean-inspired design philosophy.

Since its launch in India at the Bharat Expo 2025, the BYD SEALION 7 has witnessed strong customer response and has quickly emerged as one of the best-selling models in the premium electric SUV segment. The model has recorded over 2500+ units in sales in India, reflecting the growing demand for high-performance electric SUVs that combine advanced technology, refined design, and everyday practicality.
The BYD SEALION 7 is a Pure Performance fully electric SUV that seamlessly blends ocean-inspired aesthetics with advanced engineering and innovation. It incorporates BYD’s Intelligence Torque Adaptation Control (iTAC) and the acclaimed Cell-to-Body (CTB) technology, which integrates BYD’s Blade Battery as a structural element of the chassis to enhance safety, driving dynamics, and interior space.
The vehicle is powered by an 82.56 kWh Blade Battery and is available in Premium and Performance variants, delivering an impressive balance of performance and efficiency. The Performance variant accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, while the Premium variant achieves the same in 6.7 seconds. The SEALION 7 offers a range of 542 km for the Performance variant and 567 km for the Premium variant (NEDC).
Designed by BYD’s Global Design Director Wolfgang Egger, the SEALION 7 features sleek aerodynamic lines and the distinctive “Ocean X” front styling inspired by BYD’s ocean aesthetic philosophy. The interior delivers a sophisticated experience with a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, quilted Nappa leather seats, and 128-colour ambient lighting. Additional highlights include a panoramic glass roof with electric sunshade and a quiet cabin designed to minimise noise, vibration, and harshness.
The SEALION 7 also offers an immersive in-car experience with 12 Dynaudio speakers, ventilated and heated seats, and 50 W wireless phone charging. The vehicle further features an intelligent electric tailgate and Vehicle-to-Load (VTOL) capability, enabling the SUV to function as a portable power source capable of powering external electronic devices when required.
The BYD SEALION 7 has also received strong recognition from the automotive industry for its design, performance, and innovation. The vehicle won the Premium EV of the year title at the car&bike 2026 Awards and was honoured with the Premium SUV of the Year 2025 title at the TV9 Auto Awards. In addition, the BYD SEALION 7 was recognised in the Luxury Midsize SUV Category at the ACKO Drive Awards 2026 – TOTM (The One That Matters), further reinforcing its position as a standout product in the premium electric SUV segment.
