Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. has officially launched the all-new Kicks in Japan. The latest-generation Kicks builds on the success of its predecessor, which has gained strong customer appreciation for its bold SUV styling, sophisticated design, and advanced driving performance. A key highlight remains Nissan’s proprietary e-POWER hybrid technology, which delivers smooth, responsive acceleration along with impressive cabin quietness and efficiency.

With its refreshed design, enhanced comfort, and proven electrified powertrain, the new Kicks aims to further strengthen Nissan’s position in Japan’s competitive compact SUV segment while continuing to offer a refined and enjoyable driving experience.

The all-new Kicks now in its second generation evolves further as a compact SUV suited for both everyday driving and leisure activities. In addition, the model introduces Nissan’s e‑4ORCE electric all-wheel control technology for the first time in the Kicks lineup.

Corporate executive responsible for Japan Marketing & Sales Akira Sugimoto commented: “Kicks is a core model for Nissan, and it plays an important role in delivering the value of electrification technologies to more customers; by introducing the third-generation e‑POWER for the first time in the Japanese market. This model reflects Nissan’s distinctive commitment to design, driving performance, and comfort, delivering a model that stimulates a touch of refined playfulness for discerning customers.”

All-New Nissan Kicks: Key Highlights

The all-new Nissan Kicks introduces a significantly upgraded driving experience with the debut of Nissan’s third-generation e-POWER hybrid system and e-4ORCE all-wheel-drive technology. The new 5-in-1 e-POWER unit integrates the motor, generator, inverter, reducer, and increaser into a more compact and lightweight package, paired with a 1.4-litre engine to deliver improved fuel efficiency, performance, and cabin quietness. The e-4ORCE system enhances cornering stability and ride comfort, while a high-rigidity body, revised suspension, and new Snow Mode (on AWD models) further improve handling and all-weather capability.

Visually, the new Kicks adopts a bolder SUV-inspired design with a distinctive front fascia, signature lighting, and a strong athletic stance. Higher-spec variants receive premium gloss black exterior accents, while lower grades feature unique polygon-pattern detailing inspired by sneaker soles. Inside, the cabin offers a more premium and spacious environment with soft-touch materials, Zero Gravity seats, dual 12.3-inch displays (depending on variant), and a NissanConnect infotainment system with built-in Google integration.

Safety has also been enhanced with an expanded suite of advanced driver-assistance technologies. Standard ProPILOT is complemented by an upgraded Intelligent Around View Monitor featuring Front Wide View, Invisible Hood View, and 3D View functions. The Intelligent Emergency Braking system now offers improved detection capabilities, while new features such as Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention, Blind Spot Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert provide additional support and confidence for drivers.
