Automechanika Frankfurt unveils HighTech4Mobility for Future Mobility

Automechanika Frankfurt is launching HighTech4Mobility, a dedicated platform showcasing software-defined vehicles, AI, connected mobility, cybersecurity, ADAS and digital automotive technologies, bringing together global industry leaders to explore the future of mobility.

Automechanika Frankfurt is introducing HighTech4Mobility, a new platform dedicated to the technologies shaping the future of mobility. Debuting at this September’s trade fair, the initiative will bring together industry leaders to discuss the growing impact of software-defined vehicles (SDVs), connected mobility, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital automotive technologies on the aftermarket ecosystem.

As software becomes a defining element of modern vehicles, workshops, parts retailers, service providers and technology companies are facing both new challenges and emerging business opportunities. HighTech4Mobility aims to provide a collaborative forum where stakeholders can exchange ideas, explore market trends and prepare for the evolving mobility landscape.

Focus on Software-Defined Vehicles and Connected Mobility

The new format will explore a wide range of future mobility topics, including software-defined vehicles (SDVs), advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), autonomous driving, cybersecurity, vehicle data management, energy management, digital services and in-car entertainment.

Discussions will examine how software-driven vehicle architectures are transforming vehicle maintenance and repair, the increasing value of vehicle data in the aftermarket, and the growing role of AI, over-the-air (OTA) updates and digital services in creating new business models.

HighTech4Mobility is designed for a broad audience, including OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, software companies, start-ups, investors, workshops, retailers and industry professionals.

Industry Collaboration at the Heart of the Event

Commenting on the initiative, Olaf Mußhoff, Director of Automechanika Frankfurt, said the rapid pace of technological advancement is reshaping the mobility industry and making knowledge sharing more important than ever.

According to Mußhoff, HighTech4Mobility has been created as a platform where key industry players can exchange experiences, understand emerging technologies and identify new opportunities in the automotive ecosystem.

Festhalle to Host the New Technology Hub

The Festhalle will serve as the central venue for HighTech4Mobility, offering an environment designed to encourage networking, collaboration and cross-industry dialogue.

Visitors can attend expert presentations, live demonstrations, practical use cases and panel discussions while also taking advantage of dedicated networking spaces to connect with industry peers and technology partners.

AI, Cybersecurity and Data at the Forefront

One of the key highlights of the programme will be artificial intelligence and its growing influence on the automotive aftermarket.

Automechanika, in collaboration with the IBM Institute for Business Value, will present insights from the “AI in Motion – Reinventing Automotive Aftersales” study.

Meanwhile, Google Cloud and Boston Consulting Group (BCG) will discuss how AI can help unlock new value across the aftermarket ecosystem.

Other sessions will focus on robotics, autonomous driving and cybersecurity. Benteler Mobility will share developments in robotics and autonomous technologies, while Bitkom, Germany’s digital association, will examine cybersecurity challenges associated with software-defined vehicles.

The event will also feature discussions on the EU Data Act, one of the most significant regulatory topics influencing the automotive industry, alongside keynote presentations and expert panel discussions on the opening day.

Throughout the exhibition, the Technical University of Braunschweig will offer hands-on demonstrations, allowing visitors to experience new vehicle monitoring software using two live demonstration vehicles.

Building a Year-Round Innovation Dialogue

HighTech4Mobility builds on Automechanika Frankfurt’s year-round engagement with the mobility industry through initiatives such as the international HEY/PIONEER networking events in Berlin and Las Vegas, the Innovation4Mobility Talk in Munich, and the webinar “Beyond Parts: How AI is Reshaping the Automotive Aftermarket”, organised in partnership with Google Cloud and Boston Consulting Group.

By bringing together insights from these global discussions, HighTech4Mobility aims to deliver a comprehensive platform for innovation, collaboration and technology exchange during Automechanika Frankfurt, helping industry stakeholders prepare for the next generation of connected and software-driven mobility.
