Bentley has made a grand return to the Goodwood Festival of Speed with its largest-ever presence at the iconic event. Featuring a brand-new, purpose-built two-storey stand spanning 500 square metres and constructed using over 200 tonnes of steel, the space sets a new benchmark for Bentley’s hospitality and guest experience. The stand serves as a premium showcase for the brand, welcoming 200,000 attendees with a display of Bentley excellence.
Making its UK debut at the festival is the new Bentayga Speed, joined by the latest coachbuilt creation from Mulliner—the Batur Convertible. A fleet of over 30 Bentleys is present to support the event, with five models participating in the Supercar and First Glance Hillclimb runs. Additional cars serve as Course Cars or provide exclusive passenger experiences, while 18 chauffeur-driven Bentleys are dedicated to transporting more than 400 customers, media representatives, and VIP guests throughout the four-day celebration.
At the front of the new stand, three of the latest models are on display for everyone to view and interact with. The vibrant Continental GT Speed in Orange Flame provides the perfect canvas to showcase the new carbon Styling Specification that will be available to order later in July along with the newly-announced Akrapovic Titanium sports exhaust. The subtle Black Crystal Flying Spur stands out as a Black Edition with bright Mandarin brake calipers, behind black 22” ten spoke wheels. The contemporary Storm Grey Satin Black Edition Bentayga S not only demonstrates the skills of Crewe’s paintshop technicians, who hand-produced the satin paint effect taking 55 hours, but also shows the Klien Blue optional detailing on offer with Black edition.
Demonstrations are taking place on the stand explaining hand sewing of steering wheels and wood techniques producing veneer examples. Visitors to the stand also have the opportunity to view and purchase items from the Bentley Collection at the stand Boutique.
On the famous hill climb, several modern Bentleys are weaving their way across the 1.2 mile course to the top of the hill. From the Supercar paddock the Scarab Green Bacalar, the first of the modern coachbuilt cars from Mulliner will lead the most recent, the Batur Convertible, making its UK public debut. Following closely up the hill are newest Continental GT Speed, while in the ‘First Glance’ batch, a duo of Speed models including the Bentayga will demonstrate their model name. All of these cars are driven by colleagues from Bentley’s own chassis and powertrain development team, showing the confidence they have in their own products.
Demonstrating Bentley’s harmony of polarities, and acting as a course car, is a Black Edition Bentayga that was used to chauffeur Black Sabbath to their final show six days earlier. The Bentayga will also be accompanied by a Flying Spur Speed and for the first time ever for a number of limited runs, a Bentley Speed Six Continuation Series.
