Honda Motor Co., Ltd. has announced that it will begin accepting pre-orders for the new Honda Super‑ONE starting April 16, 2026, at Honda Cars dealerships across Japan. The company plans to officially launch the compact electric vehicle in late May 2026.
Positioned as an A-segment compact EV, the Super-ONE has been developed under the grand concept “e: Dash BOOSTER,” aimed at transforming everyday mobility into an exciting and uplifting driving experience. The name “Super-ONE” reflects Honda’s ambition to go beyond conventional EV standards and deliver a uniquely engaging driving experience.
Designed for Fun-to-Drive Electric Mobility
Honda has focused on combining environmental performance with driving enjoyment — a core brand philosophy. The Super-ONE adopts a lightweight platform derived from Honda’s N Series models, along with a widened tread and low center of gravity, to deliver sporty yet stable driving dynamics.
The compact EV weighs approximately 1,090 kg, making it one of the lightest passenger EVs in its class in Japan. A thin battery pack positioned under the floor further improves weight distribution and handling performance. The Super-ONE delivers a WLTC-rated driving range of up to 274 km, balancing everyday usability with dynamic driving characteristics.
BOOST Mode Enhances Driving Performance
A standout feature of the Super-ONE is its exclusive BOOST Mode, designed to elevate the driving experience. When activated, BOOST Mode increases power output from 47kW to 70kW, delivering sharper acceleration and improved performance.
The system also integrates:
- Simulated 7-speed transmission
- Active Sound Control with virtual engine sound
- Paddle shifters for manual-style gear changes
- Digital triple-gauge cluster with pseudo-tachometer
- Dynamic interior illumination that shifts from blue to purple
These features aim to recreate the engaging feel of traditional engine-powered vehicles while maintaining the advantages of electric mobility.
Sporty Design and Immersive Interior
The Super-ONE features a sporty exterior with wide tires, blister fenders, and aerodynamic air ducts that enhance both performance and styling. Honda will offer the compact EV in five exterior colors, including the exclusive Boost Violet Pearl — a deep purple shade inspired by upper-atmospheric lightning.
Inside, the cabin features:
- Exclusive sports seats for enhanced driver support
- Asymmetric blue interior accents
- Horizontally oriented instrument panel for improved visibility
- Driver-focused cockpit layout
These elements are designed to heighten driver engagement and create an immersive driving environment.
First Honda Compact in Japan with Bose Premium Audio
The Super-ONE will also feature an 8-speaker Bose Premium Sound System as standard equipment — the first for a Honda compact model in Japan. Developed in collaboration with BOSE Corporation, the system includes Dynamic Speed Compensation and a 13.1-liter subwoofer to deliver a concert-like in-car audio experience.
