Honda unveils Honda 0 α eSUV Prototype at Japan Mobility Show 2025; India launch planned for 2027

As the gateway model of the Honda 0 Series, the Honda 0 α eSUV follows the Honda 0 Saloon and Honda 0 SUV, which debuted at CES 2025. The model embodies Honda’s “Thin, Light, and Wise” development philosophy, focusing on lightweight efficiency, intelligent design, and sustainable performance.

Honda Motor Co. has revealed the world premiere of the Honda 0 α (Alpha), a next-generation electric SUV prototype under its Honda 0 Series, at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. The production version of the model is set for a global rollout in 2027, with Japan and India among the first markets. Positioned as a gateway model for the Honda 0 Series, the Honda 0 α follows the Honda 0 Saloon and Honda 0 SUV, which debuted at CES 2025 earlier this year.

Designed as a lifestyle-oriented electric SUV, the Honda 0 α blends seamlessly into urban and natural environments. Built on Honda’s “Thin, Light, and Wise” development philosophy, it emphasizes efficiency, lightweight engineering, and intelligent design.

The SUV features a low-slung body with generous ground clearance and a spacious, aerodynamic cabin that balances comfort with performance. Its exterior adopts Honda’s evolved design language — sleek, minimal, and futuristic — with a wide stance that conveys stability and agility.

The front fascia integrates headlights, charging lid, and an illuminated Honda emblem within a unified “screen area,” while the rear showcases a striking U-shaped light bar that merges the tail lamps, turn signals, and reverse lights, creating a distinctive modern signature.

Honda plans to share more details on the powertrain, range, and connectivity technologies as the vehicle approaches production.
