Maserati’s Artistic Marvel Steals the Show at Milano AutoClassica 2025

The exclusive and singular MC20 Cielo Opera d’Arte—the precursor to the MCPURA Cielo—was crafted in 2024 through the Maserati Fuoriserie customization program and draws inspiration from Abstract Art. This remarkable creation stands as the star attraction of the 15th edition of the renowned Milanese exhibition.

The Milano AutoClassica is in full swing from Friday, November 21 to Sunday, November 23 at the Fiera Milano (Rho) pavilions, drawing fans, experts, and industry professionals fascinated by classic cars and unique automotive creations.

Taking center stage is the Maserati MC20 Cielo Opera d’Arte, a one-off masterpiece crafted in 2024 through the Maserati Fuoriserie personalization program—the pinnacle of the Trident’s bespoke artistry, where creativity has no boundaries and every detail is unrepeatable.

This extraordinary model will be showcased near the ACI Storico stand and presented during the talk “Art Car: when design meets the automobile” at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, November 21.

A standout in Maserati’s super sports car lineup, the Opera d’Arte represents the brand at its most exclusive. Following the MC20 Halo Car, the range recently evolved with the debut of the new MCPURA, which elevates its predecessor to even greater heights of performance and rarity. Unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last July, the Maserati MCPURA is offered in both coupé and convertible versions—the latter continuing the Cielo name.

With MC20 Cielo “Opera d’Arte”, Maserati has once again redefined the concept of exclusivity, transforming artistic vision into performance, and performance into pure inspiration. The same spirit of creative exploration also gave life to another remarkable masterpiece, the MC20 “Less is More…?” one-off. This special MC20 Cielo is customized with design elements inspired by the Bauhaus movement and enriched with fine details and intricate craftsmanship, including a dedicated livery and specially developed body colors. Both creations were crafted at the renovated Officine Maserati within the historic Viale Ciro Menotti plant in Modena.

In particular, drawing on the pioneering language of Abstract art, the Maserati Fuoriserie department crafted the MC20 “Opera d’Arte” through an unprecedented creative vision. The project is the result of over a year of close collaboration between Maserati Fuoriserie, Maserati Centro Stile, and Maserati Engineering.

Entirely hand-painted, the Trident’s spyder became a blank canvas where customization and experimentation brought a contemporary masterpiece to life. Fifteen extraordinary colors and thousands of hours of expert craftsmanship contributed to a truly one-of-a-kind result. In particular, the colors chosen for this project—from the bespoke acid yellow to the warm orange shade and the vibrant electric green—were designed and formulated to evoke different emotions in every detail. Moreover, from the advanced laser engraving on the Alcantara seats to the cabin’s sporty carbon-fiber elements, the interplay of texture and tones creates an intense and refined sensory experience.

Staying true to the spirit of the Fuoriserie Program—designed as a creative “blank canvas” for the most distinctive personalities—the interior of the MC20 Cielo Opera d’Arte showcases hand-painted details on the lower dashboard paired with premium leather inserts above, creating the feeling of being immersed in a truly unique masterpiece. The same artisanal approach and abstract aesthetic extend to the exterior, where the wheels feature exclusive graphic accents in striking color combinations that further enhance the car’s visual presence.
