Nissan Electrifies Japan Mobility Show 2025 with Bold New Lineup and EV Innovation

Nissan showcases Re:Nissan vision with all-new Elgrand, flagship Patrol, and refreshed Ariya set to energize Japan market

Nissan has taken center stage at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, unveiling a powerful lineup that highlights its commitment to electric mobility, SUV excellence, and next-generation innovation. The showcase features the all-new Nissan Elgrand, the Japan debut of the rugged Nissan Patrol SUV, and a refreshed Nissan Ariya EV, each embodying the brand’s intelligent design and cutting-edge technology.

These headline models represent a pivotal moment in Nissan’s Re:Nissan product strategy, underscoring the company’s mission to redefine mobility and strengthen its presence in the Japanese market. Alongside the next-generation Nissan LEAF, the new Nissan Roox Kei car, and the MY26 Skyline sedan, Nissan’s 2025 lineup delivers an energized mix of performance, sustainability, and innovation—driving the brand’s evolution and future growth in Japan’s competitive automotive landscape.

Under its Re:Nissan plan, Nissan is revitalizing its brand with a focus on innovation, intelligent technology, and emotional design to strengthen its presence in Japan and globally. The strategy includes refreshing key models, expanding into new segments, and introducing “heartbeat” vehicles that connect with customers on an emotional level while showcasing the brand’s heritage and advanced technology.

Nissan CEO Ivan Espinosa emphasized Japan’s importance to the company’s global success, highlighting efforts to reignite market passion through the new Patrol, an electrified Elgrand, and cutting-edge EV innovation. The goal is to deliver a diverse range of vehicles—from the compact Roox to flagship models—that inspire pride, meet daily needs, and reflect Nissan’s intelligent, future-focused vision.

The all-new Nissan Elgrand, launching in Japan in summer 2026, redefines the premium minivan experience with advanced electrified powertrains, refined comfort, and luxurious design. Building on its legacy since 1997, the fourth-generation Elgrand offers a smooth, quiet, and elevated ride tailored for families seeking both sophistication and joy in every journey.

Its design embodies Nissan’s “Timeless Japanese Futurism” philosophy, blending traditional Japanese craftsmanship with modern innovation. Highlights include a Kumiko-inspired grille, new colors like Fuji Dawn and Shigoku, and an elegant lounge-style interior featuring zero gravity captain’s chairs, TailorFit™ leather, and dual 14.3-inch integrated displays. A Bose® 22-speaker sound system and 64-color ambient lighting complete the Elgrand’s blend of artistry, technology, and comfort.

Nissan is expanding its next-generation lineup with a strong focus on power, comfort, and intelligent technology.

The all-new Elgrand will debut Nissan’s third-generation e-POWER hybrid system and a new e-4ORCE all-wheel-drive setup for refined performance, quiet operation, and enhanced stability. Features like Intelligent Dynamic Suspension, ProPILOT 1.0 (hands-off under 50 km/h), and ProPILOT 2.0 (hands-free highway driving) ensure a smoother, more confident, and connected driving experience.

Joining it, the Nissan Patrol will return to Japan in FY2027, marking the brand’s comeback to the rugged SUV segment after nearly two decades. As a flagship “heartbeat model,” the Patrol combines premium comfort, off-road strength, and advanced technology, reaffirming Nissan’s leadership in versatile, adventure-ready vehicles.

Meanwhile, the refreshed Nissan Ariya EV crossover—arriving later this fiscal year—introduces a refined design, Google-powered infotainment, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, and enhanced suspension for improved comfort. Together with models like the new LEAF, the Ariya underscores Nissan’s sustainability vision, integrating intelligent mobility and energy management to drive a more connected and eco-conscious future.
