SKF has achieved a prestigious ‘A’ score in the Climate Change category from CDP for the third consecutive year, reinforcing its position as a global leader in environmental transparency and sustainability performance. CDP is a leading global non-profit organisation that evaluates corporate environmental disclosure and action.
In 2025, nearly 20,000 companies worldwide were assessed through CDP’s disclosure platform. Securing the highest possible ‘A’ rating for climate change places SKF among an elite group of companies demonstrating robust environmental governance, comprehensive disclosure, and measurable progress towards climate resilience.
Commenting on the achievement, Sofie Runius Cederberg, Head of Sustainability at SKF, said, “We are proud to have received an ‘A’ rating from CDP. This recognition reflects our continuous progress and the strong commitment of our employees to drive positive environmental change. While it confirms our leadership in sustainability, it also reminds us of the importance of continuing our efforts to support the transition to a more sustainable society.”
Sherry Madera, CEO of CDP, added, “High-quality data empowers leaders to make earth-positive decisions that secure long-term competitiveness, attract capital, and safeguard natural systems. SKF’s achievement demonstrates what is possible when transparency becomes the foundation for meaningful climate action.”
SKF’s continued recognition by CDP highlights its strategic focus on data-driven sustainability, climate action, and long-term value creation across its global operations.
The CDP Climate Change score provides a benchmark for corporate disclosure and environmental performance, enabling comparability across industries. By achieving leadership status, SKF is recognized for its commitment to climate action, strategic alignment with frameworks such as the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), and implementation of best practices in sustainability.
SKF has committed to decarbonizing all operations by 2030 and achieving a net-zero supply chain by 2050. Progress includes a 59% reduction of Scope 1 and 2 emissions in 2024 compared to the 2019 base year – well ahead of the 2030 goal trajectory.
