Škoda Auto is accelerating its international expansion by entering the fast-growing Saudi Arabian market through a partnership with SAMACO Motors, which has represented other Volkswagen Group brands in the country for over 15 years. The initial portfolio includes the Octavia hatchback and Kushaq, Karoq, and Kodiaq SUVs, with the Superb hatchback and Combi estate to follow soon. In 2026, Škoda plans to introduce the Slavia compact saloon to cater to rising demand in the segment.

The first two state-of-the-art retail outlets will open in Jeddah and Al Khobar by the end of 2025, with a flagship showroom in Riyadh planned for 2026. Škoda’s showrooms will offer a fully digital customer experience with video walls, touch tables, and interactive car information stands.

Targeting Growth and Young Customers
With annual car sales in Saudi Arabia expected to reach one million vehicles by 2030, Škoda aims to target young drivers and families in major cities. Currently, the market has only 156 vehicles per 1,000 inhabitants, indicating significant growth potential. To coordinate its regional expansion, Škoda has established a Škoda Middle East office under Volkswagen Group Middle East (VWGME).

Strategic Partnership with SAMACO Motors
Škoda Auto’s entry into Saudi Arabia marks a critical step in its Middle East growth strategy. SAMACO Motors, part of the Al Nahla Group, is a leading car importer and distributor in Saudi Arabia, representing brands such as Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Bentley, and Lamborghini. The two new showrooms, covering over 1,200 m², will open in Jeddah and Al Khobar in 2025, with the Riyadh flagship launching in 2026.

Global Expansion Beyond Europe
Škoda Auto continues to strengthen its presence outside Europe, focusing on dynamic growth markets. In 2025, Škoda became the third best-selling brand in Europe and is expanding its footprint in India, Vietnam, the Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand. By leveraging its expertise, Škoda aims to capitalize on growth opportunities for the Volkswagen Group globally.

With this expansion, Škoda Auto reinforces its commitment to international growth, digital customer experiences, and a broad model portfolio tailored to emerging markets.
