Škoda Auto expands BEV Infotainment with AirConsole, Škoda Play and Spotify Integration

Škoda has enhanced the infotainment systems of the Enyaq and Elroq electric models with AirConsole gaming, Škoda Play video streaming and native Spotify integration. The update also introduces an Emergency Vehicle Approaching alert and improved AI-powered route planning via the MyŠkoda app.

Škoda Auto has rolled out a comprehensive infotainment update for its all-electric models, including the Škoda Enyaq (with software version 4.0 and above) and the Škoda Elroq. The update introduces three major in-car entertainment features — AirConsole gaming, the Škoda Play video platform and built-in Spotify integration — all bundled under the Media Streaming Package, offered free of charge for the first three years in new vehicles.

AirConsole Brings Interactive Gaming to Charging Stops

Developed by Swiss company N-Dream, AirConsole debuts with 15 games, including the iconic Tetris, which is available exclusively in Škoda vehicles. When the car is parked, the infotainment screen transforms into a gaming display, while a user’s smartphone functions as the controller. The platform supports both single- and multi-player modes, with the vehicle’s audio system delivering immersive in-game sound. Additional titles will be added over time. To access AirConsole, users require a Škoda ID, an active MyŠkoda account and a smartphone internet connection. Gaming is strictly available only when the vehicle is stationary.

Škoda Play Offers Personalised News and Learning Content

Škoda Play introduces structured news and educational video content, developed in collaboration with 3SS using its 3Ready Automotive solution. The platform aggregates curated content from trusted global partners such as Euronews, NASA (via NASA+), CNN, Reuters and Bloomberg. Content is tailored to user preferences and the specific vehicle. As with gaming, video playback is enabled only when the vehicle is parked.

Native Spotify Integration Enhances Seamless Audio Streaming

Spotify is now directly embedded into the infotainment system, allowing users to log in with their existing accounts and stream music or podcasts through the vehicle’s data connection — without the need to pair a smartphone. All media-streaming apps come pre-installed, ensuring immediate availability upon sign-in. Spotify content can be accessed at any time, even while driving.

Traffication App Adds Emergency Vehicle Approaching Alert

Beyond entertainment, Škoda has enhanced its Traffication app with an Emergency Vehicle Approaching alert, developed in partnership with HAAS Alert and its Safety Cloud® platform. Emergency vehicles with activated warning lights transmit real-time location and direction data, which is processed via Škoda’s backend system. Drivers receive clear on-screen alerts displaying distance and direction, along with visual guidance on forming an emergency corridor.

The cloud-based safety feature is currently active in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, with further expansion planned. The Czech police will join the system next, and Škoda vehicles will be the first to support the feature in Belgium.

MyŠkoda App Improves AI-Based Route Planning

The MyŠkoda mobile app has also received updates, enhancing its AI-supported route planner with more detailed configuration options. Users can now select charging stops near specific location types, limit charging to Powerpass stations or set a minimum battery level upon arrival. These improvements offer greater flexibility, particularly for long-distance electric journeys.

With this latest update, Škoda strengthens its focus on delivering enhanced digital experiences, seamless entertainment and advanced safety features across its growing electric vehicle portfolio.
