The Honda Civic Hybrid has been awarded the prestigious Edmunds Best of the Best and Edmunds Top Rated Car Awards for 2025. This marks the third time the 11th-generation Civic has received an Edmunds Top Rated honor. These accolades come shortly after the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid, the electrified version of America’s most popular compact car, was named the 2025 North American Car of the Year.
“The Honda Civic Hybrid wins the Edmunds Top Rated Best of the Best award for its unbeatable blend of virtues,” said Edmunds Editor-In-Chief Alistair Weaver. “Powerful but frugal, high-tech but accessible, luxurious but affordable, it’s the most complete car on sale today.”
The Edmunds Top Rated Awards recognize the best vehicles on sale and are based on extensive testing and ratings from the Edmunds editorial staff. Among its six Edmunds Top Rated Award winners for 2025, Edmunds selected the new Honda Civic hybrid as the Best of the Best, the highest possible honor from its team of experts. The Honda Civic and Accord have earned four Edmunds Top Rated Awards since the award’s inception in 2020.
The Honda Civic is the brand’s longest-running automotive nameplate with Americans purchasing nearly 13 million Civics since 1973, making it one of the top three best-selling passenger cars in America over the past 52 years. An unparalleled success, the 11th-generation Civic serves as the gateway to the Honda brand and America’s most popular vehicle with Gen Z buyers, first-time new car buyers as well as multicultural customers.
