BYD marks milestone with roll-off of 13-millionth New Energy Vehicle

BYD, a global leader in new energy vehicles (NEVs), celebrated the production of its 13-millionth NEV at the Xiaomo Production Base in the Shenzhen-Shanwei Special Cooperation Zone. The landmark vehicle, a YANGWANG U7, was unveiled during a special ceremony commemorating the achievement.

In the first half of 2025, BYD’s sales continued to rise steadily. From January to June, BYD’s domestic sales exceeded 2.113 million units, marking a 31.5% year-on-year increase; overseas sales reached 472,000 units, surging 128.5% year-on-year. With its outstanding market performance, BYD secured the top spot in global new energy vehicle sales, becoming the first automaker worldwide to roll out 13 million new energy vehicles, setting a new industry benchmark.

BYD’s 13-millionth new energy vehicle rolled off the production line, reflecting the favor and trust of both domestic and international markets and users in BYD.
