Nissan unveils the All-New Tekton C-SUV: A Bold New Entry for India and Beyond

Nissan Motor India has officially announced the name and shared a first glimpse of its upcoming global C-SUV—the All-New Nissan Tekton.

Derived from the Greek word for “craftsman” or “architect,” the name Tekton reflects Nissan’s commitment to precision engineering, innovation, and bold design. Positioned as a powerful and premium offering in the C-SUV segment, the Tekton is crafted for individuals who are shaping their world—through their work, passions, and lifestyles.

Set to launch in 2026, the Tekton is designed to disrupt the C-SUV category with its performance, design, and engineering excellence. It will be the second model under Nissan’s ‘One Car, One World’ strategy and will be manufactured in partnership with Renault at the Chennai facility, for both the Indian market and select global exports.

The all-new Nissan Tekton takes its design cues from one of Nissan’s most iconic and longest-running SUVs—the legendary, terrain-conquering Patrol. Set to debut next year, the Tekton will blend bold, commanding aesthetics with rugged reliability, refined craftsmanship, and a range of advanced technology features, delivering a premium SUV experience built for modern drivers.

At the front, a powerfully sculpted bonnet and distinctive C-shaped head lamp signature—reminiscent of the Patrol—pair with robust lower bumper to create a commanding and imposing presence that belies the vehicle’s size.

The side profile features an imposing, muscular stance, designed to create an unmistakable silhouette on the road. Paying Homage, the front doors of the Tekton feature a ‘Double-C’ shaped accent, incorporating a subtle mountain range motif inspired by the Himalayas.

At the rear, a red illuminated lightbar spans the width of the vehicle, conveying a sense of sturdiness and connecting the ‘C-shaped’ dynamic tail-lamps. The Tekton nameplate is prominently displayed across the tailgate below.
