Ashok Leyland has strengthened its international footprint with the establishment of a new wholly owned subsidiary in Saudi Arabia to set up a bus and truck assembly plant. In a recent regulatory filing, the company announced that its UAE-based subsidiary, Ashok Leyland UAE LLC, has incorporated Ashok Leyland Saudi Company, a one-person limited liability entity, with an initial investment of SR 5,00,000, made on November 27, 2025.
The new unit will develop a vehicle assembly facility in the Kingdom to serve both domestic requirements and key export markets across the region. Incorporated on June 30, 2025, the subsidiary has received all necessary approvals from the Saudi Ministry of Investment and the Ministry of Commerce.
This strategic expansion reinforces Ashok Leyland’s commitment to enhancing its manufacturing presence globally and capitalizing on rising commercial vehicle demand across the Middle East—aligned with the Hinduja Group flagship’s international growth roadmap.
