Group to showcase Physical AI, robotics, autonomous driving and smart manufacturing technologies while engaging global technology talent
Hyundai Motor Group will host the HMG Tech Talent Forum 2026 in Silicon Valley from September 17–18, as it steps up efforts to attract global technology professionals and strengthen its capabilities in emerging fields including Physical AI, robotics and autonomous driving.
The forum will be held at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center and organised by nine Hyundai Motor Group affiliates and partners: Hyundai Motor Company, Hyundai Motor America, Kia Corporation, Kia America, Hyundai America Technical Center, Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America, Boston Dynamics, Motional and 42dot.
The event will highlight the Group’s technology roadmap and global talent strategy through keynote presentations, leadership discussions, technology demonstrations, interactive exhibitions and career consultations.
Hyundai Motor Group to Showcase Physical AI and Robotics
The forum’s keynote sessions will feature senior Group executives discussing future technology priorities, innovation and talent development.
Speakers include José Muñoz, President and CEO, Hyundai Motor Company; Manfred Harrer, President and Head of R&D Division, Hyundai Motor Group; Minwoo Park, President and Head of the Advanced Vehicle Platform Division, Hyundai Motor Group and CEO of 42dot; and Hae In Kim, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, Hyundai Motor Group.
A Leaders Panel Talk will bring together technology leaders from across the Group and its affiliates to discuss emerging technology trends and how innovation can be translated into real-world applications.
The panel will feature Manfred Harrer; Minwoo Park; ChangHwan Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of Electrification Energy Solutions Tech Unit, Hyundai Motor Group; Zack Jackowski, Chief Product and Technology Officer, Boston Dynamics; Phil Michel, Senior Vice President of Autonomy & AI, Motional; and Alpesh Patel, Vice President and Head of SDF Transformation Center, Hyundai Motor Group.
Six Technology Areas on Display
The forum will feature dedicated tech sessions covering six key areas:

- Robotics
- Autonomous driving
- Smart manufacturing
- Software and IT
- Hydrogen, energy and batteries
The sessions will provide opportunities for engineers and technology professionals to discuss real-world projects, applications and development challenges with Hyundai Motor Group experts.
An exhibition will showcase 16 hands-on and project-based displays across three themes — Beyond the Vehicle, Beyond the Road and Beyond the Industry.
Technologies on display will include MobED, Spot, the IONIQ 5 robotaxi, Hyundai CRATER Concept and advanced E&E architecture (CODA), alongside projects covering AI, robotics, autonomous driving, smart manufacturing, software and energy technologies.
Career Opportunities for Global Tech Talent
The forum will also feature an HR Coffee Chat, giving participants an opportunity to interact directly with hiring managers and explore technology and engineering career opportunities across the Group.
