The all-new MINI Convertible has achieved a remarkable milestone in India, with its first batch selling out completely within just 24 hours of launch. Introduced on December 12, 2025, the iconic open-top MINI was offered as a completely built-up unit (CBU) at an ex-showroom price of ₹58.50 lakh.
Following the overwhelming response, MINI India has announced that bookings are now open for the next phase of deliveries, scheduled to commence in early 2026, allowing more customers to experience MINI’s distinctive open-air motoring.
Commenting on the response, Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO, BMW Group India, said, “That was quick! The speed at which the all-new MINI Convertible sold underscores how strongly our community resonates with irresistible design and a genuinely fun, authentic driving experience. Design and Open-Top Experience
The exterior design of the all-new MINI Convertible stays true to classic MINI styling cues. It features standard LED headlights with three selectable light signatures, enhancing the car’s unmistakable character. The model rides on aerodynamically optimised 18-inch alloy wheels, available in Slide Spoke and Flash Spoke two-tone designs.
A high-quality black fabric soft top ensures all-weather usability and can be fully opened in just 18 seconds and closed in 15 seconds. It can also function as a sunroof, opening up to 40 cm at any speed, adding to the car’s everyday practicality.
Premium Interior and Digital Technology
Inside, the MINI Convertible embraces a minimalist layout inspired by the classic Mini. The cabin is centred around a round, high-resolution OLED display known as the MINI Interaction Unit, combining the instrument cluster and infotainment system.
Key features include the MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant, activated by the voice command “Hey MINI,” the MINI Digital Key Plus that transforms a smartphone into a car key, a Head-Up Display, and a premium Harman Kardon Surround Sound System for an immersive audio experience.
Performance and Powertrain
Powering the all-new MINI Convertible is a 2.0-litre petrol engine featuring the latest MINI TwinPower Turbo technology. The engine produces 150 kW (204 hp) between 5,000 and 6,500 rpm, along with a peak torque of 300 Nm from 1,450 to 4,500 rpm.
The Convertible accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds and boasts a top speed of 240 km/h, delivering an engaging and spirited driving experience that aligns perfectly with MINI’s fun-to-drive ethos.
