Aptera Motors Corp, a solar mobility company focused on advancing ultra-efficient transportation, has announced the appointment of Tony Kirton as Chairman of its Board of Directors.
Kirton brings over four decades of global automotive leadership experience, having held senior executive and board-level roles at leading automotive brands including Volkswagen, Audi, and BMW. His elevation to Chairman follows his tenure as an independent board director and reinforces Aptera’s emphasis on disciplined governance and long-term value creation as the company prepares for production.
Commenting on his appointment, Kirton said, “Over my career, I’ve seen many technologies promise transformation, but only a few truly deliver it. His expertise in navigating complex manufacturing ecosystems and large-scale transitions is expected to provide valuable strategic direction as Aptera moves toward commercialisation.
