Maruti Suzuki India Limited has commenced exports of its premium SUV, VICTORIS, marking another milestone in the company’s global expansion plans. The model will be sold in international markets under the name ‘Across’.
The first shipment of over 450 units has been dispatched from Mundra and Pipavav ports to multiple global destinations. The VICTORIS reflects Maruti Suzuki’s ‘Got It All’ brand philosophy, combining advanced technology, premium comfort, and contemporary design.
Engineered as a modern, global SUV, the VICTORIS features intelligent technology, indulgent comfort, and futuristic styling. The model has also demonstrated strong safety credentials, securing a 5-star rating in both Global NCAP and Bharat NCAP.
Further underlining its global appeal, the Made-in-India SUV was showcased to an international audience at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, reinforcing Maruti Suzuki’s growing role as a global manufacturing and export hub.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “Maruti Suzuki’s export journey is guided by the vision of Make in India, Make for the World. In calendar year 2025, with exports of over 3.9 lakh vehicles, we emerged as India’s number one passenger vehicle exporter for the fifth year in a row. The year also marked our re-entry into Europe with the start of exports of our first Battery Electric Vehicle, e VITARA.”
He added, “If we look at growth of India’s passenger vehicle exports in the past five years from CY2020 to CY2025, while the rest of industry grew by 1.43 times, Maruti Suzuki exports grew by 4.67 times. The addition of VICTORIS will further support our export ambitions, and we are hopeful it will be well received in international markets.”
Maruti Suzuki introduced VICTORIS in September 2025 in India. With a wraparound design language, crafted interiors and “Got it All” features for young Indians, the model has been very popular. VICTORIS has won the coveted Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) 2026 award as well, demonstrating its excellence and appeal.
