Volkswagen India has unveiled the design philosophy of its upcoming flagship SUV, the Tayron R-Line, offering a first glimpse into the brand’s entry into the premium 7-seater SUV segment. Arriving in India just 12 months after its European debut, the Tayron R-Line highlights Volkswagen’s commitment to bringing globally relevant products to Indian customers without delay.
The Tayron R-Line represents a clear evolution of Volkswagen’s global SUV design language, blending bold proportions with the sporty sophistication characteristic of the R-Line trim.
Already recognised in Europe with the Golden Steering Wheel 2025 award for Best Family Car and a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating, the Volkswagen Tayron R-Line enters the Indian market with strong credentials in safety, design, and everyday performance.

Exterior Design: Stronger, More Confident and Purposeful
Interior Design: Digital and Spacious: Inside, the Tayron R-Line introduces a cleaner, more digital cabin layout focused on space and ease of use. The horizontal dashboard enhances width, while a new floating 15-inch infotainment screen angled towards the driver acts as the main control hub.
Seating, Space and Practicality: Designed as a true 7-seater, the Tayron R-Line makes full use of its long 2,789 mm wheelbase to deliver generous space across all three rows.
