Bhago Mobility partners HMSI, HEID for EV two-wheeler deployment

The collaboration combines HMSI’s EV manufacturing expertise with HEID’s battery-swapping network to address downtime, cost and productivity challenges in commercial mobility.

Bhago Mobility has partnered with Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) and Honda Power Pack Energy India (HEID) to deploy electric two-wheelers in Delhi and Bengaluru, with plans for a pan-India rollout over the next three years.

As part of the collaboration, HMSI will supply electric two-wheelers designed for high-utilisation commercial applications, leveraging its manufacturing and engineering expertise. HEID will support the deployment with its battery-swapping network, enabling near-instant battery replacement and minimising vehicle downtime.

The initial phase will focus on onboarding delivery partners from e-commerce and food delivery platforms, with future expansion planned into ride-hailing and logistics services.

“Through the Activa e:, integrated with HEID’s robust swapping network, we aim to deliver safe, efficient and productivity-enhancing mobility solutions that minimise downtime for India’s mobility workforce,” said Mutsuo Usui, Director – Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India.

According to the companies, the platform is designed to address key challenges faced by urban mobility workers, including high upfront vehicle costs, charging downtime, maintenance requirements and regulatory complexity.

“By combining our strengths with partners such as HEID, we are able to offer a practical and scalable platform—whether for individuals operating vehicles themselves or those making them available for others,” said Aditya Goyal, Managing Director, Bhago Mobility.
