Despite industry challenges like erratic rainfall and delayed fund disbursements, the company achieved its highest-ever revenue, driven by strategic shifts toward non-subsidy segments and improved operational efficiency.

Mahindra EPC Irrigation Ltd. has announced its financial results for the year ended March 31, 2026 (FY26), delivering robust growth despite a challenging business environment.

The company reported a revenue of ₹315.79 crore for FY26, marking a 14.5% year-on-year increase from ₹275.09 crore in FY25. Profit before tax (PBT) rose significantly by 58.5% to ₹16.99 crore, compared to ₹10.71 crore in the previous year. Profit after tax (PAT) also recorded a strong growth of 76%, reaching ₹12.69 crore, up from ₹7.21 crore, reflecting improved operational efficiency and disciplined financial management.

Performance Highlights

The company’s strong performance was driven by focused market development initiatives, a strategic shift towards non-subsidy business segments, enhanced financial discipline, and continued investments in strengthening organizational capabilities.

During FY26, the industry encountered several challenges, including delays in fund disbursement by nodal agencies, erratic and excessive rainfall across key agricultural regions, and late-year geopolitical developments impacting input costs and overall market sentiment.

Despite these headwinds, Mahindra EPC Irrigation achieved its highest-ever annual revenue, underscoring the resilience and adaptability of its business model.

The company also strategically recalibrated its operations in certain core states to mitigate concentration risks and improve internal processes. Additionally, efforts to build a stronger pipeline independent of government subsidies contributed positively to profitability.

A robust work order pipeline for irrigation projects was also developed during the year, positioning the company for sustained growth.

Outlook

Looking ahead, the company remains cautiously optimistic, closely monitoring global geopolitical trends and the upcoming monsoon season while adjusting its market strategy accordingly.

The reduction in GST on micro-irrigation systems from 12% to 5%, coupled with increased government emphasis on expanding micro-irrigation coverage and renewed activity in key markets, is expected to support steady industry growth in the coming years.
