
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), in collaboration with Sharayu Toyota, has inaugurated the Toyota Technical Education Program (T-TEP) at CSMSS College of Polytechnic in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. The initiative underscores Toyota’s continued commitment to fostering industry-ready talent and supporting the Government of India’s ‘Skill India’ and ‘Make in India’ missions.
The T-TEP program is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements by equipping students with practical automotive knowledge, technical skills, and hands-on training aligned with evolving industry standards. Through this partnership, students will gain access to advanced automotive technologies, specialized training modules, and exposure to real-world service and maintenance practices followed within Toyota’s global network.
The initiative aims to enhance employability among aspiring automotive professionals while creating a skilled workforce capable of supporting the future growth of India’s automobile sector. By collaborating with educational institutions and dealer partners, Toyota continues to invest in talent development and contribute to building a sustainable and future-ready mobility ecosystem in the country.
The newly set up training facility, unveiled in the presence of dignitaries from the Institutes, Mr. Ranjeet P. Mulay, President, CSMSS Sanstha, Mr. Padmakar H. Mulay, Secretary, CSMSS Sanstha, Dr. Shrikant G. Deshmukh, Administrative Officer, CSMSS Sanstha, Dr. Shashikant R. Dikle, Principal, CSMSS College of Polytechnic, Dr. Ganesh B. Dongre, Principal, CSMSS Chh. Shahu College of Engineering, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mr. Naseer Maner, Director, Sharayu Toyota and senior leadership of Toyota Kirloskar Motor is designed to provide hands-on training and real-world exposure to students pursuing technical trades, especially those from rural and economically challenged communities.
The T-TEP curriculum offers a robust blend of academic learning and on-ground experience through internships at Toyota dealerships. At CSMSS College of Polytechnic, the focus is on Service Advisor & Sales Consultant streams, benefiting students from Mechanical Engineering trade and serving students from surrounding rural regions. The program offers training across six technical trades with an annual intake capacity of 480 students. The facility features modern training infrastructure including engine models, component cut-sections, simulators and tools reflecting Toyota’s hybrid & service technologies and Body & Mind Training – Culture Development material.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has consistently championed skill development through initiatives such as the Toyota Technical Training Institute (TTTI) and T-TEP. Since its inception in 2006, the T-TEP program has trained more than 14,000 students across India, with over 70% of graduates securing employment with automobile manufacturers and authorized dealerships across the country.
