Motovolt Mobility has strengthened its partnership with electric vehicle fleet rental company GBG EV by deploying more than 200 units of its MVS7 electric two-wheelers across Delhi NCR for last-mile delivery operations. The vehicles are integrated with battery-swapping technology provided by Indofast, enabling faster and more efficient fleet operations.
The deployment is designed to support gig economy workers engaged in quick-commerce and hyperlocal delivery services. By leveraging Indofast’s battery-swapping network, delivery riders can replace depleted batteries in less than a minute, significantly reducing downtime and improving vehicle utilisation. The initiative comes amid growing demand for electric mobility solutions in the last-mile logistics sector, driven by the rapid expansion of e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms.
Commenting on the development, Tushar Choudhary, Founder and CEO of Motovolt Mobility, said, “The gig economy is the backbone of India’s quick-commerce revolution, and our MVS7 is purpose-built to empower delivery partners with a reliable and efficient mobility solution.” Both Motovolt and GBG EV indicated that the partnership could be expanded further as they scale their presence in the fast-growing last-mile delivery and hyperlocal logistics segments.
