Drivn and BillionE Mobility sign strategic leasing partnership to deploy 200 Electric Trucks

Drivn and BillionE Mobility will deploy 200 electric trucks across India, accelerating freight electrification and reducing over 4,500 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually.

Drivn, an electric vehicle (EV) leasing platform focused on heavy commercial fleets, has entered into a strategic partnership with BillionE Mobility, an e-Mobility-as-a-Service (eMaaS) provider, to lease and deploy 200 electric trucks across India. The collaboration marks a significant milestone in accelerating the adoption of electric freight transportation and supporting the country’s transition towards sustainable logistics.

As part of the first phase of the partnership, 22 electric trucks will be deployed for a leading cement industry customer under a long-term contract. The project will establish an electrified freight corridor supported by dedicated EV charging infrastructure and integrated operational solutions, demonstrating the commercial viability of zero-emission heavy-duty logistics.

Compared to conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) trucks, this deployment is expected to reduce more than 4,500 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually, highlighting the potential of electric freight solutions to reduce emissions from heavy commercial transportation.

Alpna Jain, Co-founder and Chief Business Officer, Drivn, said, “Electric trucks scale only when the right ecosystem is in place. Reliable charging infrastructure, alignment across partners, and disciplined on-ground execution are all critical to making large-scale deployments successful. Through our partnership with BillionE Mobility, we are focused on ensuring high vehicle uptime, operational consistency, and efficiency across every trip. This deployment demonstrates that EV freight is not just about replacing diesel trucks, but about building a logistics model that delivers both environmental and operational benefits.”

Kartikey Hariyani, Founder, & Sanjeev Kulkarni, CEO, BillionE Mobility, said,  “At BillionE Mobility, we’re not just imagining the future of mobility – we’re building it. Electrifying India’s freight sector is a collaborative effort. By partnering with Drivn, we are combining technology, operations, and financing to remove key barriers to EV adoption. Together, we look forward to helping customers transition to cleaner, more efficient logistics. ”

This partnership represents an important step in shaping the future of freight mobility in India, where electric trucks operate at scale with the support of integrated infrastructure and coordinated operations. In the coming phases, Drivn and BillionE Mobility will continue to expand electric truck deployments under the partnership, reinforcing their shared commitment to advancing electric freight mobility in India. Through these deployments, the partners aim to accelerate the adoption of electric freight solutions and support more efficient long-haul transportation.
