Sonalika achieves 20 lakh tractor production milestone

Sonalika Tractors has rolled out its 20 lakhth tractor from its integrated manufacturing facility in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. The milestone highlights the company's three-decade manufacturing journey, in-house production capabilities and expanding global presence, with exports to more than 150 countries.

Sonalika Tractors has achieved a major manufacturing milestone with the rollout of its 20 lakhth tractor from its integrated production facility in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. The achievement marks a significant chapter in the company’s 30-year journey, highlighting its manufacturing scale, technological capabilities, and growing global presence in the agricultural machinery sector.

The company stated that its Hoshiarpur facility, regarded as the world’s largest integrated tractor manufacturing plant, has grown from producing just two tractors per day in 1996 to manufacturing one tractor every two minutes. The plant produces all major tractor components in-house and serves both the domestic market and exports to more than 150 countries worldwide.

Commenting on the milestone, Deepak Mittal, Managing Director, International Tractors Limited, said, “The rollout of our 20 lakhth tractor strongly emphasises Indian engineering expertise and demonstrates how far it can reach across diverse geographies and agricultural conditions through vision, innovation, and execution excellence.” He added that the company remains committed to expanding its global footprint and sustaining long-term growth.
