Schaeffler wins GM Supplier of the Year Award for sixth time

The award recognizes Schaeffler's contribution to GM through advanced engine technologies, including valvetrain systems, and underscores the strong partnership between the two companies. The recognition further reinforces Schaeffler's position as a leading global motion technology company driving the future of mobility.

Schaeffler, the Motion Technology Company, has been named a recipient of the prestigious General Motors Supplier of the Year award, recognizing the company’s performance as a trusted supplier supporting GM’s continued growth, innovation and customer success. This marks the sixth time Schaeffler has received this award from GM, with this year’s recognition underscoring the company’s contribution across key engine technologies, including valvetrain systems.

The rigorous selection process recognizes suppliers that closely align with GM’s core values and strategic business priorities, including performance across key categories such as innovation, safety, execution, resilience, and customer support.

“Receiving this prestigious award from General Motors is a meaningful recognition of our commitment to quality and performance,” said Klaus Rosenfeld, CEO of Schaeffler AG. “It reflects the trust and strong relationship we have and our shared focus on innovation and operational excellence. We are honored to support GM’s continued success through technologies that are helping transform the future of motion.”

“This recognition is a direct reflection of the close collaboration between Schaeffler and GM and the passion our teams bring to delivering outstanding performance every day,” said Jon Jameson, Senior Vice President and GM Global Key Account Manager at Schaeffler.

This year, 103 suppliers across 14 countries were named GM Supplier of the Year award winners.

“Supplier of the Year is one of those key moments our whole team looks forward to every year because it highlights the partnerships behind every vehicle we build. The results our suppliers deliver throughout the entire product development cycle are central to our ability to deliver world-class vehicles to our customers. When our suppliers, such as Schaeffler, lean in with us on new technology and flawless execution, we can move faster, compete harder and unlock more value across the entire supply chain,” said Shilpan Amin, Senior Vice President, Global Chief Procurement and Supply Chain Officer, General Motors.
