Following its first global media test drive event in Dubai on July 9, LUXEED showcased its Super Intelligent Valet Parking (SIVP) system, an advanced intelligent parking solution featured on the LUXEED R7. Designed to enhance premium urban mobility, the system offers a fully automated parking experience by combining autonomous parking with remote vehicle retrieval through a dedicated smartphone application.
Using the mobile app, owners can remotely summon the LUXEED R7 from its parking space to a designated pickup location. During the parking and retrieval process, the vehicle autonomously navigates parking facilities, follows traffic flow, detects obstacles, avoids hazards, and adjusts its speed according to surrounding conditions. Users can monitor the entire process in real time through live video feeds from four onboard cameras and can immediately stop the vehicle using a one-touch emergency stop feature if required. Once the parking process is complete, the system automatically locks the vehicle, closes the windows, and powers down the vehicle, ensuring a fully automated and secure parking experience.
The SIVP system relies on a comprehensive 360-degree perception system that combines multiple high-definition surround-view cameras, millimetre-wave radar and ultrasonic sensors. This sensor suite enables the vehicle to accurately identify parking bays, curbs, static obstacles, pedestrians, moving vehicles and other elements commonly found in underground parking facilities. The system is also capable of slowing down for pedestrians, yielding to oncoming vehicles in narrow lanes, reducing speed near parking attendants, and automatically folding the side mirrors after parking to reduce the risk of damage in tight spaces.
Developed under the Chery Group’s premium LUXEED brand, the SIVP system is designed to replicate the convenience of valet parking through intelligent driving technology while eliminating the need for human intervention. In addition to enhancing convenience, the technology helps protect user privacy by removing the need to hand over vehicle keys to valet staff. Optimised for high-frequency urban parking environments such as shopping malls, business districts and luxury hotels, the system aims to deliver a safer, smarter and more convenient parking experience for premium vehicle owners across global markets.
