
JBM Auto Limited has announced its consolidated financial results for the quarter ended 30 June 2026, reporting robust growth across its electric vehicle and auto components businesses. The company posted a 15.04% year-on-year increase in revenue and a 15.96% rise in net profit, while maintaining its leadership in India’s electric bus segment with an estimated 25% market share during Q1 FY27.
Financial Performance
For the first quarter of FY2026-27, JBM Auto reported net sales (including other operating income) of ₹1,442.45 crore, up from ₹1,253.88 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, reflecting a 15.04% year-on-year growth.
The company’s EBITDA rose 8.48% to ₹194.88 crore, compared to ₹179.65 crore in Q1 FY26.
Profit Before Tax (PBT) increased 18.73% to ₹60.02 crore, while Profit After Tax (PAT) climbed 15.96% to ₹42.43 crore, compared to ₹36.59 crore in the same period last year.
Earnings Per Share (EPS) improved to ₹1.78, up from ₹1.56 in Q1 FY26.

EV Business Continues Strong Momentum
JBM Auto’s electric vehicle business continued its growth trajectory, recording revenue of ₹460.04 crore, representing a 16.67% increase over ₹394.31 crore reported in Q1 FY26.
The company retained its leadership in the electric bus segment, accounting for an estimated 25% market share during the quarter.
Meanwhile, the auto components business also delivered solid performance, with revenues increasing 15.53% to ₹894.12 crore, compared to ₹773.91 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
Key Business Highlights
During the quarter, JBM Ecolife Mobility Private Limited, a subsidiary of JBM Auto, secured a strategic investment of ₹750 crore from Motilal Oswal to accelerate the deployment of electric buses across India.
The company also entered into an agreement with DRIVN, an electric commercial vehicle leasing platform, for the supply of 500 electric luxury buses, further strengthening its order pipeline.
JBM Auto reduced its long-term debt by approximately ₹500 crore, improving its balance sheet and financial position.
Expansion of Electric Bus Operations
JBM continued expanding its electric bus footprint across multiple states during the quarter.
Several large-scale flag-off ceremonies took place, including:
155 electric buses in Ahmedabad and 40 buses in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
130 electric buses in Vadodara.
110 electric buses in New Delhi.
70 electric buses in Panipat, Haryana.
20 electric buses in Ambala.
25 electric buses in Jamnagar, Gujarat.
The company also unveiled the JBM Galaxy, described as India’s first indigenous sleeper and seater electric luxury coach, during the Prawaas exhibition held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
Adding to its achievements, JBM Auto was featured in the Hurun India 500, recognising it among India’s 500 most valuable companies, highlighting its growing presence in the country’s automotive and electric mobility ecosystem.
