Tata Motors launches TATA.CARS as new global passenger vehicle brand identity

The new identity brings Tata Motors’ passenger vehicle portfolio under a unified brand platform, while the company’s existing product brands and iconic vehicle ellipse remain unchanged.

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. (TMPV) has unveiled TATA.CARS, its new consumer-facing global brand identity, along with the brand promise ‘Nothing’s Too Far’. The new identity brings the company’s growing passenger vehicle portfolio under a unified, future-focused brand platform.

According to Tata Motors, TATA.CARS is built around the belief that mobility can help people go further, pursue their ambitions and unlock new opportunities. The new brand identity reflects the company’s evolution from developing iconic vehicles and establishing new safety benchmarks to expanding electric mobility and building a strong SUV portfolio in India.

TATA.CARS brings together TMPV’s passenger vehicle portfolio under a common identity backed by the trust of more than seven million customers. The company said the new brand marks its next phase of growth, with a focus on smarter, greener and more connected mobility experiences.

Commenting on the launch, Shailesh Chandra, MD & CEO, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., said, “For decades, we have grown alongside India’s aspirations, helping make the future more accessible through meaningful innovation. From India’s first indigenous car to pioneering electric mobility and making safety mainstream, we have consistently challenged limits and expanded possibilities for millions of customers. Yet, we believe our boldest ambitions remain ahead of us.”

He added, “Today, we proudly introduce TATA.CARS. More than a new brand identity, it is a declaration of intent for the future we envision. Anchored in the promise, ‘Nothing’s Too Far’, it conveys our belief that mobility should open doors, embrace possibilities and empower people to get closer to what matters most to them.”

The new identity is centred around a visual concept called ‘Parallel Pathways’, inspired by the geometry of the Tata ‘T’ and road markings. Tata Motors says the concept represents different customer journeys moving in the same direction — progress.

The TATA.CARS identity also introduces ‘Ambition Blue’, an evolution of Tata’s signature blue, along with a bespoke ‘Parallel Display’ typeface and a new sonic identity. The new branding will be rolled out across digital platforms, retail outlets, service touchpoints and other brand communications.

The company said the new identity is intended to create a more consistent customer experience across the passenger vehicle journey, from vehicle discovery and purchase to ownership and future mobility services.

Despite the new consumer-facing identity, the underlying business structure remains unchanged. Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. will continue to remain the legal entity and will be used for statutory, regulatory and investor communications.

The iconic Tata ellipse on the vehicles will also remain unchanged, while existing product brands will continue as before. Tata Motors said its core focus on safety, quality, innovation and engineering excellence will continue to remain at the heart of its passenger vehicle business.

The launch of TATA.CARS marks a new chapter in how Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles presents its legacy and ambitions to the next generation of customers. With ‘Nothing’s Too Far’ as its guiding promise, the company aims to continue developing products, services, experiences and mobility ecosystems designed to help customers explore new possibilities and move forward.
