
The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) has elected Shenu Agarwal, Managing Director & CEO of Ashok Leyland Ltd., as its President for 2026-27.
The decision was taken during SIAM’s Executive Committee Meeting, where the apex industry body also announced its new office bearers for the year.
Agarwal, who previously served as Vice President of SIAM, succeeds Shailesh Chandra, Immediate Past President of SIAM and Managing Director & CEO of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd.
As part of the new leadership team, K N Radhakrishnan, Director & CEO of TVS Motor Company, has been elected Vice President of SIAM for 2026-27.
Meanwhile, Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO of Mercedes-Benz India Pvt. Ltd., has been elected Treasurer of SIAM for 2026-27.
The new leadership takes charge at a crucial time for India’s automotive industry, with the sector navigating evolving global trade dynamics, accelerating electrification, localisation, technological shifts and growing opportunities in international markets.
