Audi India has commenced local assembly of the all-new Audi Q3 at the Škoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) plant in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. The start of production marks an important milestone for Audi as it prepares to introduce the latest-generation Q3 in the Indian market.
The all-new Audi Q3 is scheduled to launch in India on October 16, 2026.
The compact luxury SUV will be powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine and equipped with Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system. The new Q3 combines dynamic performance with the practicality expected from a compact premium SUV and also features a range of segment-first technologies and features.
Commenting on the start of production, Piyush Arora, Managing Director and CEO, Škoda Auto Volkswagen India, said the commencement of Q3 production highlights the capabilities of the company’s Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar facility and its commitment to supporting the growth of its brands in India.
He added that the latest Audi Q3 will be produced in India while maintaining the quality, precision and engineering standards associated with Audi globally.
Balbir Singh Dhillon, Brand Director, Audi India, said the start of production marks another important step towards the launch of the new-generation Q3.
The Audi Q3 has traditionally served as an entry point to the Audi brand for many customers. According to Dhillon, the latest generation is expected to build on that position with its updated design, technology and dynamic characteristics, while helping Audi expand its customer base and strengthen its presence in India.
Audi Q3 Bookings Open in India
Customers can book the all-new Audi Q3 through the Audi India website, the myAudi Connect application or authorised Audi India dealerships.
With local production already underway, Audi is preparing to introduce the new Q3 to the Indian market on October 16, 2026.
