Spark Minda has appointed Geetika Mishra as Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) at its Group Corporate Office, strengthening the company’s procurement, sourcing and materials leadership.
Mishra announced her new role through a LinkedIn post, outlining a broad mandate covering Group Materials, sourcing strategy, supplier ecosystem development, cost competitiveness, electronics, process automation and capability building.
She said her immediate priority would be to understand Spark Minda’s organisation, people and business priorities before initiating any major changes. “I want to spend time listening and learning,” Mishra said, highlighting plans to engage with teams, understand different perspectives and learn from employees working closely with the business.
According to Mishra, this approach will help her gain a better understanding of the company’s existing strengths and challenges while identifying areas where improvements can be made.
Mishra joins Spark Minda following more than 18 years with Motherson Group, where she held roles across multiple businesses, geographies and teams, taking on increasingly complex responsibilities during her tenure.
Reflecting on her previous organisation, Mishra described Motherson as an important part of her professional journey and expressed gratitude to the people who contributed to her experience there.
In her new role at Spark Minda, Mishra said she will work closely with teams to identify opportunities and convert them into measurable business outcomes.
Her mandate covers key areas across the automotive supply chain, including procurement, sourcing, supplier development, materials management and cost competitiveness, along with a focus on electronics, process automation and organisational capability building.
The appointment comes as automotive suppliers continue to place greater emphasis on supply-chain efficiency, supplier capabilities, localisation, electronics and cost competitiveness.
