Mercedes-Benz India has recorded its highest-ever quarterly sales in Q3 2026 and its best-ever January-September sales performance in the country, driven by strong demand across its luxury portfolio, new product launches, and continued expansion of its retail network.
The automaker retailed 5,422 vehicles between July and September 2026, marking a 6% year-on-year increase over the 5,119 units sold in Q3 2025. The company also reported a 17% quarter-on-quarter growth compared with Q2 2026, supported by festive demand and its Dream Days campaign, which introduced new financial offerings for customers.
For the January-September 2026 period, Mercedes-Benz India sold 15,190 vehicles, an approximately 8% increase over the 14,132 units sold during the same period in 2025. This represents the company’s strongest nine-month sales performance since entering the Indian market.
The growth was supported by demand across the Top-End Luxury, Core Luxury and Entry Luxury segments, along with the success of new launches, long-wheelbase products and a focus on enhancing the customer experience.
“Mercedes-Benz continues its outstanding growth story in India, clocking best-ever quarter and highest Jan-Sep sales, driven by exceptional value led customer strategy. Our record sales in each quarter in CY 2026 is a result of our unwavering focus on high product substance, brand exclusivity and elevating customer experience. Our diverse product portfolio mix, new powertrain and elevated customer experience reflects the strong desirability of Mercedes-Benz among India’s most discerning luxury consumers,” said Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India.
He added: “As Mercedes-Benz’s global product fireworks continues, Indian customers will be highly benefitted from this intense product offensive. While upcoming new product like the GLC BEV has already created high anticipation in the market, deliveries of the much-awaited electrified S-Class will begin this month, strengthening Mercedes-Benz’s unmatched luxury positioning as the ‘most desirable luxury brand’ for discerning luxury dwellers.”
Top-End Luxury Segment Records Strong Growth
Mercedes-Benz’s Top-End Luxury portfolio accounted for more than 25% of total sales during January-September 2026 and registered 13% year-on-year growth.
Models including the GLS, S-Class, Mercedes-Maybach and AMG G 63 continued to see strong customer demand. The extra-long-wheelbase V-Class has also emerged as a preferred choice for long-distance intercity travel and airport journeys.
The company’s MANUFAKTUR personalisation programme accounted for around 75% of all Top-End Luxury vehicle sales in India during the period. The programme offers customers bespoke materials, design elements and craftsmanship.
The Mercedes-AMG G 63 also recorded its highest-ever monthly sales despite maintaining a long waiting period, highlighting continued demand for the performance SUV.
Core Luxury Segment Remains the Largest Contributor
The Core Luxury segment contributed around 60% of Mercedes-Benz India’s total sales between January and September 2026.
The C-Class, Long Wheelbase E-Class, GLC and GLE remained key contributors, with all four models recording strong monthly sales throughout 2026.
The Long Wheelbase E-Class continued to lead the segment and remained the highest-selling luxury car in India, while sustained demand for the C-Class, GLC and GLE reinforced the strength of Mercedes-Benz’s core portfolio.
Entry Luxury Segment Gains Momentum
Mercedes-Benz’s Entry Luxury portfolio, comprising the GLA SUV and CLA BEV, accounted for around 15% of the company’s total sales mix during January-September 2026.
The segment recorded 4% growth, supported by the feature-rich positioning and value proposition of the GLA and CLA BEV. The company said the products are aimed at younger luxury customers seeking technology, features and premium mobility.
CLA BEV Receives Over 1,000 Orders
Mercedes-Benz also continued to see strong demand for its battery-electric vehicle portfolio, which recorded 16% growth during January-September 2026 despite limited vehicle availability.
The newly launched CLA BEV has received more than 1,000 confirmed orders, with deliveries extending to March 2027. The response has been particularly strong among younger luxury car buyers, reflecting growing interest in technology-led and sustainable mobility.
The EQS SUV, EQS Maybach SUV and G580 also continued to attract demand from customers in the top-end luxury segment.
Mercedes-Benz said the strong sales performance reflects sustained customer demand, new product introductions, an expanded luxury retail network and its focus on delivering a differentiated ownership experience.
