Hero MotoCorp has expanded its global footprint by entering Ecuador through an exclusive distribution partnership with Quilmotors.
As part of the agreement, Quilmotors will oversee local assembly, dealer network development, sales, after-sales service, and spare parts distribution. Operations will commence with the launch of a flagship outlet in Guayaquil, strategically located on Avenida de las Américas, a key automotive hub in the city.
The facility will showcase Hero MotoCorp’s latest product portfolio, including its 2027 line-up, and will feature integrated service workshops along with spare parts availability to support customers from day one.
Hero MotoCorp will introduce eight models in Ecuador, spanning multiple segments. The range includes commuter motorcycles such as Eco Deluxe and Eco 150, premium street bikes like Hunk 125R and Hunk 160R 4V, dual-purpose models including XPulse 200 4V and XPulse 200 4V Pro, and scooters such as Xoom 110 and Xoom 125R. All models will be offered with a warranty of five years or 60,000 kilometres.
The company noted that the product portfolio has been tailored to meet diverse riding conditions and customer needs in the market. Sanjay Bhan, Executive Vice President – Global Business at Hero MotoCorp, highlighted Ecuador’s growth potential driven by increasing demand for personal mobility, adding that the partnership combines Hero’s product expertise with Quilmotors’ local market understanding.
Felipe Estrada of Quilmotors emphasised the focus on establishing robust sales and service operations to support the brand’s entry and long-term growth.
Following the Guayaquil launch, Hero MotoCorp plans to expand its presence to other regions, including Quito, Manta, and the Manabí Province, with a phased approach to scaling its distribution and service network.
Hero MotoCorp currently operates in 52 countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America, and continues to strengthen its presence in international markets.
