Michelin India has expanded its retail footprint in Rajasthan with the inauguration of a new Michelin Tyres & Services (MTS) outlet in Jodhpur. Located on Chopasani Road, the new facility was inaugurated on May 18, 2026, by Prashant Sharma.
Spread across 1,800 sq. ft., the new outlet offers Michelin’s complete range of passenger car tyres along with vehicle care services such as wheel alignment and wheel balancing, creating an integrated tyre retail and service destination for customers in the region.
The store has been established in partnership with Sushil Tyres, a local aftermarket retailer founded in 1984 with over four decades of experience in the city’s automotive sector. Through the collaboration, Michelin brings its global tyre portfolio and retail standards, while Sushil Tyres contributes strong local market presence and customer relationships.
Known as the Blue City, Jodhpur has emerged as one of Rajasthan’s growing commercial and tourism hubs, witnessing increasing infrastructure development and rising vehicle ownership. Michelin sees the city as a key market with growing demand for organised automotive retail and service solutions.
The Jodhpur store launch forms part of Michelin India’s broader expansion strategy across the country. The company has also indicated plans to introduce locally manufactured passenger vehicle tyres in India, although detailed production timelines are yet to be announced.
Founded more than 130 years ago and headquartered in Clermont-Ferrand, Michelin operates in over 175 countries with a workforce of approximately 122,600 employees globally. In addition to tyres for passenger vehicles, trucks, aircraft and construction equipment, Michelin also operates in polymer composites and publishes the globally recognised MICHELIN Guide.
