NueGo has expanded its electric intercity bus network with the launch of seven new routes across India, taking its network presence to more than 150 cities. The latest expansion is aimed at improving connectivity across key business, tourism and pilgrimage corridors while increasing access to electric intercity mobility.
NueGo Adds Seven New Electric Bus Routes
The newly launched routes are:
- Chennai–Tirupati
- Hyderabad–Guntur
- Mussoorie–Delhi
- Mussoorie–Gurugram
- Gurugram–Haldwani
- Coimbatore–Madurai
- Tirupati–Puducherry
According to NueGo, the new services are designed to strengthen connections between regional economic centres and major tourism and pilgrimage destinations. The expansion also reflects the growing adoption of electric buses on regional intercity corridors beyond traditional metro-to-metro routes.
The company said the latest additions form part of its broader strategy to expand its electric mobility network and provide more sustainable transportation options across the country.
Commenting on the expansion, Devendra Chawla, Managing Director and CEO, GreenCell Mobility, said, “The addition of several new intercity routes aligns with our mission of transforming bus travel in India through sustainable, technology-enabled mobility solutions. With our continued route development, we remain focused on expanding connectivity across the country.”
NueGo Electric Buses Get Multiple Safety Systems
NueGo said its electric buses undergo 25 safety checks before every departure. The buses are equipped with several safety and monitoring technologies, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), CCTV surveillance, GPS tracking and Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS).
The operator also conducts breath analyser tests for drivers and uses speed limiters that restrict buses to a maximum speed of 80 kmph.
For women passengers, NueGo offers initiatives such as Pink Seat bookings and a dedicated helpline, aimed at providing an enhanced sense of safety and convenience during intercity travel.
With the addition of the seven new routes, NueGo is further expanding its electric intercity footprint and connecting more regional destinations through technology-enabled and sustainable bus transportation.
