NueGo, a GreenCell Mobility brand backed by Eversource Capital, has expanded its electric intercity bus network across India with several new routes. Among the additions is its longest service to date — a 10-hour journey connecting Delhi to Lucknow.
The Mumbai-based company unveiled the new routes on Monday, aiming to cater to the rising demand for sustainable long-distance travel. Newly introduced services now link cities such as Amritsar and Delhi, Bengaluru with Davanagere and Madurai, Chennai with Madurai and Salem, and Delhi with Bareilly and Haldwani. Additional connections include Gurugram to Haldwani, Jaipur to Kota, Delhi to Hisar, Amritsar to Jammu, Indore to Ratlam, Hyderabad to Kurnool, and Bangalore to Mysore.
NueGo currently operates over 300 electric buses across more than 100 Indian cities. These buses offer a per-charge range of over 250 kilometers, with fast-charging capabilities enabling extended range up to 500 kilometers — reinforcing the company’s commitment to zero-emission mobility.
India’s push to cut transportation emissions through greater electric vehicle adoption is driving NueGo’s latest expansion. Positioned as the country’s first electric sleeper bus service, NueGo equips its entire fleet with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to enhance safety and comfort.
“We’re committed to building a network that’s not only sustainable but also offers a premium travel experience,” said Devndra Chawla, Managing Director and CEO of GreenCell Mobility. “This expansion goes beyond adding routes—it’s about championing a national shift toward zero-emission intercity travel.”
The company has established over 50 charging stations nationwide to support operations. NueGo buses undergo 25 safety checks covering mechanical and electrical systems, and the fleet includes features such as CCTV surveillance, GPS tracking, and speed limits of 80 kilometers per hour.
NueGo has introduced specific measures for women passengers, including a 24-hour helpline, designated seating options during booking, and enhanced security protocols at stations and on buses.
GreenCell Mobility functions as an Electric Mobility-as-a-Service platform, specializing in electric bus transit, charging infrastructure, and allied services. Its parent company, Eversource Capital, is a climate-focused investor managing a fund dedicated to electric mobility, renewable energy, and resource efficiency initiatives.
NueGo’s expansion highlights the broader momentum in India’s electric vehicle sector, driven by supportive government policies and growing environmental awareness. The company’s expanding network underscores the commercial potential of long-distance electric bus travel in the Indian market.
