Commenting on the milestone, Kausalya Nandakumar, Chief Business Officer, Emerging Mobility Business Unit, Hero MotoCorp, said, “This launch marks a proud and defining moment as VIDA goes global. We are thrilled to take the very best of our engineering and design capabilities beyond India, starting with Nepal, a strategically crucial market where riders are quickly adopting smart electric mobility. The VIDA VX2 electric scooter lineup will be offered in two variants in Nepal—the VX2 Plus and VX2 Go—each designed to cater to different riding requirements while handling the country’s diverse road conditions.

The VIDA VX2 Plus is powered by dual removable 2.2 kWh battery packs, delivering a combined battery capacity of 4.4 kWh. It offers an 18-degree gradeability, a claimed real-world range of up to 140 km, a top speed of 90 km/h, and can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 3.1 seconds. The scooter also supports DC fast charging, enabling the battery to charge from 0 to 80 percent in approximately 65 minutes.

Meanwhile, the VIDA VX2 Go comes equipped with a single removable 2.2 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed real-world range of 75 km and a top speed of 70 km/h. It can sprint from 0 to 40 km/h in 4.2 seconds and also supports DC fast charging, allowing a 0 to 80 percent recharge in around 65 minutes.

Performance figures are based on internal testing conducted under standard conditions and may vary depending on riding style, road conditions, weather, and other usage factors.

Both variants prioritize user convenience with removable batteries for easy home charging via a standard 5A socket, alongside a suite of smart connected features including the My VIDA app, navigation, geo-fencing, call/SMS alerts, and OTA updates.

Complementing the line-up, the VIDA DIRT.E K3 is an electric off-roader engineered to grow alongside young riders. It features a three-size adaptive system that effortlessly transforms across small, medium, and large configurations, ensuring continuous ergonomic support and postural comfort. It has a robust app-based parental controls that allows adults to manage acceleration, enforce top speed limits, and securely locks the bike into either of the three distinct speed tiers: Mode 1 (8–9 km/h), Mode 2 (17–18 km/h), and Mode 3 (23–24 km/h). Powered by a 350W motor paired with a 360Wh removable battery, the VIDA DIRT.E K3 offers up to 3 hours of riding time, depending on terrain & mode, and charges from 20–80% in approximately 2 hours. Recognized on the world stage for exceptional design and technology, the VIDA DIRT.E K3 is a proud winner of Red Dot Design Award 2025 and CES Innovation Award 2026.

Since entering Nepal in 2014, Hero MotoCorp has earned the trust of riders nationwide over a decade of continuous growth. Building on this strong foundation, the launch of the VIDA electric range marks an exciting new chapter—one dedicated to delivering smart, sustainable, and future-ready electric mobility to Nepal.
