The 2027 Kawasaki Versys 650 has been launched in India at ₹8.63 lakh (ex-showroom), with the MY27 update limited to a new colour option.
Kawasaki has launched the 2027 Versys 650 in India at ₹8.63 lakh (ex-showroom). The MY27 model remains mechanically unchanged from the outgoing version, with no revisions to its engine, features or pricing. The only update for the new model year is a new colour option.
The 2027 Versys 650 is offered in a Candy Lime Green finish. Deliveries are expected to have started, following Kawasaki’s earlier confirmation that customer deliveries would commence by the end of August.
2027 Kawasaki Versys 650: Engine and Gearbox
The Versys 650 continues to use a 649cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine producing 67hp at 8,500rpm and 61Nm at 7,000rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and an assist-and-slipper clutch.
There are no mechanical updates for the 2027 model year, with the engine and transmission carried over from the MY26 motorcycle.
2027 Kawasaki Versys 650: Chassis and Features
The adventure-tourer uses a tubular diamond frame, suspended by a 41mm telescopic front fork with 150mm of travel. At the rear, it gets a monoshock with remote preload adjustment and 145mm of travel.
Key features include an adjustable windscreen, 4.3-inch TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity, traction control and full-LED lighting.
The Versys 650 gets a 21-litre fuel tank and has a kerb weight of 220kg. Its 845mm seat height makes it relatively tall, while the 170mm ground clearance should help it tackle uneven road surfaces.

The 2027 Kawasaki Versys 650 is priced at ₹8.63 lakh (ex-showroom), exactly the same as the outgoing model.
The motorcycle continues to occupy a niche position in India’s middleweight adventure-touring segment. Its closest rival is the Honda NX500, priced at ₹7.44 lakh (ex-showroom).
While the Versys 650 offers a larger 649cc engine and higher power output, the NX500 is lighter and more compact, making the two motorcycles distinct propositions in the segment.
