Blue Energy Motors launches Electric Heavy-Duty Truck with Battery Swapping

Blue Energy Motors (BEM), India’s leading green truck manufacturer, launched its electric heavy-duty truck with battery swapping technology at its 10,000-capacity facility in Chakan, Pune. Maharashtra’s Chief Minister, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, also inaugurated India’s first electric freight corridor between Mumbai and Pune, a key step toward electrifying major national highways in the next three years and supporting India’s Net Zero goals.

Blue Energy Motors (BEM), a pioneer in green commercial mobility, has launched its electric heavy-duty truck featuring advanced battery swapping technology. The vehicle was unveiled by Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis at BEM’s cutting-edge 10,000-unit manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune.

The CM also inaugurated India’s first electric freight corridor between Mumbai and Pune—marking a major step toward electrifying national highways within the next three years. This initiative supports India’s Net Zero ambitions by promoting a cleaner, more efficient freight ecosystem.

In response to rising demand, BEM has signed an MoU with the Maharashtra government to establish a new facility with a 30,000-truck annual capacity, supported by a ₹3,500 crore investment.

BEM has witnessed a strong market demand and is signing MoUs for over 10,000 Electric trucks. The advanced technology of the truck makes BEM electric trucks the lowest TCO in the industry.
