Both motorcycles introduce distinctive colour schemes and styling elements while retaining the existing Gold Star 650 mechanical platform.

BSA Gold Star 650 Brooklands Black Legacy Edition: Design and Styling

The Brooklands Black Legacy Edition draws inspiration from the historic Brooklands racing circuit in Britain. In 1937, BSA rider Wal Handley set a record at the circuit, earning the Gold Star distinction that would later become associated with the motorcycle’s name.

The new edition features black paintwork complemented by gold pinstriping, chrome-finished fenders, chrome accents on the fuel tank and a quilted seat. These details give the motorcycle a distinctive appearance while paying tribute to BSA’s racing heritage.

BSA Gold Star 650 Birmingham Blue Edition: Design and Styling

The Birmingham Blue Edition celebrates Birmingham, the British city associated with BSA’s origins. It features deep blue paintwork, a patinated silver badge on the side panel and a bespoke engine finish.

While the two editions adopt different styling themes, both retain the Gold Star 650’s established design and mechanical package.

BSA Gold Star 650 Engine, Power and Features

Both new editions are powered by the same 652cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which produces 45 hp and 55 Nm of torque.

The Gold Star 650 also features Brembo brakes, a dual-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS) and wire-spoke wheels. The new editions focus on visual differentiation rather than changes to the motorcycle’s underlying mechanical package.

Commenting on the launch, Anupam Thareja, Co-founder of Classic Legends, said the two editions represent different aspects of the Gold Star’s history. While the Brooklands Black Legacy Edition commemorates the origins of the Gold Star name, the Birmingham Blue Edition celebrates the brand’s roots.

BSA Ownership Assurance Program: Warranty and Service Support

BSA Motorcycles will continue to offer its Ownership Assurance Program alongside the new Gold Star 650 editions. The programme includes a standard warranty of four years or 50,000 km, with extended warranty options available for up to six years.

Customers can also opt for roadside assistance coverage of up to eight years and an annual maintenance contract (AMC) of up to five years, subject to applicable terms and conditions.

The company supports customers through a nationwide network of more than 450 sales and service touchpoints, providing access to sales, servicing and after-sales assistance.

With the introduction of the Brooklands Black Legacy Edition and Birmingham Blue Edition, BSA Motorcycles is expanding the Gold Star 650 range with two heritage-inspired styling options for Indian buyers.
