Bengaluru-based iGoWise Mobility has announced limited retail pre-bookings for its smart electric leaning trikes, marking its debut in India’s three-wheeler market with a focus on personal urban mobility.
Positioned as a smarter alternative to conventional motorcycles, the trikes are designed to require no additional licensing or dedicated parking, while offering superior stability and safety through proprietary engineering.
The vehicles feature iGoWise’s patented anti-topple swiveling mechanism and level-2 self-balancing technology—developed in-house through indigenous R&D—to overcome the handling and stability issues that have long hindered the adoption of personal-use trikes.
“India is the world’s largest three-wheeler market, yet personal-use trikes have remained largely unexplored due to handling difficulties and safety concerns,” said Sravan Kumar Appana, CEO of iGoWise Mobility.
The trikes feature dual rear wheels designed to provide enhanced road grip and traction. Technical specifications include a top speed of 70 km/h, 80 Nm of torque with acceleration from 0 to 30 km/h in 3.3 seconds, and three battery configurations offering ranges of 70 km, 100 km, and 140 km using lithium iron phosphate (LFP) and lithium manganese iron phosphate (LMFP) battery packs.
The base model utilizes an 88V charging system that reaches 80 percent capacity in 100 minutes through standard home charging, according to company specifications. iGoWise states the charging approach is designed to minimize battery degradation over time.
The vehicles incorporate a triple-disc combined braking system (CBS) and what the company terms a dual-wheel drive configuration for improved climbing capability on inclines. The chassis consists of a steel space-frame construction backed by a five-year standard warranty.
iGoWise emphasizes serviceability in its design approach, stating that most components can be maintained at conventional mechanic shops rather than requiring specialized service centers.
iGoWise Mobility, operating under the “Make in India” initiative, focuses on domestic manufacturing and supply chains for its electric leaning trikes. Pre-bookings are open at igowise.com/prebook, with phased deliveries to follow. The company targets a new segment in India’s EV market—offering a stable, three-wheeled alternative to traditional two-wheelers for riders not ready to shift to four-wheelers.
