Keeway India has officially entered India’s electric two-wheeler market with the launch of the Hypevolt-R, its flagship premium performance electric scooter. Designed to combine high performance with everyday usability, the new scooter features aggressive styling, advanced technology and intelligent engineering to cater to riders seeking a dynamic electric mobility experience.
The Keeway Hypevolt-R is priced at an introductory ₹1,99,000 (ex-showroom) and is available in Crystal White and Platinum Grey colour options. Customers can book the scooter by paying a token amount of ₹5,000 through Keeway India’s official website.
Built to deliver an engaging riding experience, the Hypevolt-R offers instant throttle response, brisk acceleration and smooth power delivery, setting it apart in India’s growing premium electric scooter segment. With its blend of performance, technology and practicality, the scooter marks Keeway India’s strategic entry into the country’s rapidly expanding EV market.
At the heart of the Hypevolt-R is a 5-kWh dual battery architecture, delivering an IDC-certified riding range of 180 km. It features parallel removable battery packs that can be conveniently charged either on or off the vehicle, offering unmatched flexibility for modern urban commuters. The battery system supports in-vehicle charging, with 0–80% charging achievable in approximately 3 hours, significantly reducing downtime while enhancing convenience.
Power comes from a mid-mounted Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor producing 12 kW of peak power, enabling the Hypevolt-R to accelerate from 0–40 km/h in just 2.3 seconds, while achieving a top speed of 115 km/h and an impressive 30-degree gradability. Riders can tailor the experience through ECO, NORMAL and SPORT riding modes to suit different riding conditions. The centrally mounted motor, combined with its parallel battery architecture, delivers exceptional weight distribution, sharper handling and an immediate throttle response that sets a new benchmark in the premium electric scooter segment.
The Hypevolt-R has been developed with an uncompromising focus on rider confidence and safety. It comes equipped with an advanced suite of intelligent rider assistance technologies including Traction Control System (TCS), Dual-Channel ABS, Hill Hold Control, Hill Descent Control, Intelligent Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection and a Rear Reverse Camera, offering enhanced visibility, confidence and control across varying road and traffic conditions.
