Kia India, a prominent mass-premium automaker, has unveiled the pricing for the latest EV6, setting it at INR 65.9 lakh (ex-showroom, Pan India). This bold upgrade aims to redefine the premium EV segment, further solidifying Kia’s leadership in sustainable mobility.
The new Kia EV6 boasts 15 upgrades over its predecessor, featuring a sportier and more aggressive front fascia inspired by Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy. Key highlights include a bold Star Map Graphic Connected DRL with Sequential Indicators and a GT-Line front bumper. The sleek 48.74 cm (19-inch) aerodynamic glossy-finish alloy wheels and Star Map LED rear combination lamps with Sequential Indicators further enhance its futuristic appeal.
Inside, the EV6 offers a refined and luxurious cabin experience. A new double D-cut steering wheel with hands-on detection technology improves driving convenience, while the connected car navigation cockpit integrates dual 31.2 cm (12.3-inch) panoramic curved displays, delivering a seamless and immersive digital infotainment experience.
The new Kia EV6 comes with Kia Connect 2.0, featuring Kia Connect Diagnostics (KCD) for remote vehicle diagnostics. Over-the-air (OTA) software updates allow 34 ECU controllers to be updated remotely, eliminating the need for service center visits. The Digital Key 2.0, featuring Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology, transforms a compatible smartphone into a virtual key, allowing seamless locking, unlocking, and ignition, even when the device remains in a pocket or bag. It can also be shared with others via a simple text message, enhancing accessibility and convenience. To further enhance the connectivity, the car comes with 100+ connected features.
For safety, the ADAS 2.0 package integrates 27 advanced safety and driver assistance technologies, including five new autonomous functions. Key additions such as FCA 2.0 for Junction Turning, Junction Crossing, Lane Change Assist, and Evasive Steering Assist enhance collision prevention and maneuverability, while LFA 2.0 ensures precise lane positioning for a safer drive.
Built on Kia’s E-GMP platform, the EV6 now boasts an 84-kWh battery, delivering an impressive 663 km range (ARAI MIDC) on a single charge. With 325 PS power, 605 Nm torque, and ultra-fast charging from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes via a 350kW charger, it sets new standards for long-distance EV travel.
